Cynthia’s Story – Baby Loss Awareness Week

Cynthia’s Story

Cynthia’s Story

I never knew pain until I woke up from my emergency c-section at 30 weeks and was told my baby died.

Life has changed in so many ways forever. My relationship with his dad ended because I went down a black hole.

To say the least I lost myself. My pregnancy was a high risk one from having to place a cerclage to prevent preterm labor due to a short cervix.

I have two beautiful boys who are 16 &15 my Omar and Adrian who I love with every fiber of my being. I suffered pre-eclampsia for both of them.

And so I was considered high risk due to that and cerclage. Although this has been the hardest time of my life. Therapy helps. The support the check ups stop.

I appreciate this community that helps us talk about it and feel safe. I miss my son, my baby my heart and soul. CJ is what we called him. The C for his mommy’s name and the J for his daddy’s name (Joseph).

So we named my Angel Cyrie Jace.

I still have a hard time telling my story with details.

It’s something I’m working on.
